Business Registration Certificates

Every person who carries on a business in Hong Kong must have a valid Branch Registration Certificate or Business Registration Certificate for each place of business. The certificate is valid until the "Date of Expiry" which is printed on the certificate.

Certified Copies of a Valid Business / Branch Registration Certificate are available from the Inland Revenue Department of the Hong Kong Government, and can be authenticated by the High Court with an Apostille stamp for submission to authorities in other countries.

Certified extracts of information on the Business Register include a copy of the original application for registration or an application information sheet containing certain particulars submitted to the Companies Registry, as well as a full history of amendments and changes made to the register following the original application.

A Certificate of Continuing Registration certifies that a company incorporated or registered in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance remains registered in the Companies Register.
